A Historic Moment for Wushu in Oceania

The International Wushu Federation (IWUF) has recognised the HYX 2026 Oceania International Invitational Wushu Kung Fu Championships as the “largest and highest-level international wushu event in Oceania” in a feature post on their official Facebook page.

Held in Brisbane, Australia, the championships brought together athletes from 11 countries and regions across Oceania and beyond.

IWUF noted that the event “elevated the influence of wushu across Oceania to a new level” and opened “a brand-new chapter for the development of wushu both internationally and within the region.”
