Letter of Condolence from IWUF President – Gao Zhidan (IWUF)

We were deeply saddened to learn of the unfortunate passing of Mr. Walt
Missingham, Vice President of the International Wushu Federation (IWUF),
Chairman of the IWUF Ethics Committee, President of the Oceania Kung Fu
Wushu Federation and President of the Kung Fu Wushu Australia Limited. On
behalf of the IWUF and in my own name, I extend our deepest condolences
and heartfelt sympathy to your association and the family of Mr. Missingham.
Mr. Missingham was an outstanding leader in the global wushu community. As
President of Kung Fu Wushu Australia Limited and the Oceania Wushu
Federation, he spearheaded the vigorous growth of wushu across Australia,
expanded member federations throughout Oceania, and made enduring
contributions to popularizing and enhancing the development of sport of wushu.
In his roles as IWUF Vice President and Ethics Committee Chairman, he
worked with professionalism and dedication and advanced the ethical
framework of the IWUF, laying a solid foundation for wushu’s standardization
and global development.
Mr. Missingham’s sudden departure is not only an immense loss to Australia’s
wushu community but also a profound loss for the international wushu
movement. In this sorrowful moment, we mourn alongside our Australian
colleagues.
We kindly request your association to convey our heartfelt condolences to Mr.
Missingham’s family. May he rest in eternal peace, and may his loved ones find
