Dear Kung Fu Wushu Oceania Community,
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Mr. Kevin Blundell, Vice President of the Oceania Kung Fu Wushu Federation and Sanda Manager for Kung Fu Wushu Australia. Kevin passed away peacefully this morning.
Kevin was a dedicated leader, mentor, and advocate for the martial arts community. Over many
years, he worked tirelessly to raise and establish Oceania’s profile on the international Wushu
Sanda stage. Under his leadership, Oceania Sanda achieved remarkable success, including the
Men’s 80KG Gold Medal and the Women’s 65KG Bronze Medal in both 16th World Wushu Championship and the 10th Sanda World Cup—milestones that reflect both his vision and his unwavering commitment.
Kevin brought professionalism, humility, and heart to every role he held. His tireless support of
athletes across Australia and Oceania has left a lasting legacy. His presence will be deeply missed.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Kevin’s family, friends, and all those whose lives he
touched through his service and passion for martial arts.
May we continue to honour his memory through the work we do and the values he upheld.
