World Events – Sanctioned by the International Wushu Federation
1. World Wushu Championships (contemporary forms, weapons and fighting)
2. World Junior Wushu Championships (contemporary forms, weapons and fighting)
3. World Traditional Wushu Championships (traditional forms and weapons)
4. World Taijiquan Championships (modern and traditional tai chi forms and weapons)
5. World Sanda Cup (contemporary fighting)
Wushu is also included in the Asian Games, East Asian Games, South Asian Games, South East Asian Games, Mediterranean Games, World Games and SportAccord World Combat Games.
Wushu is currently seeking inclusion in the African, Pacific, Commonwealth and Olympic Games. Each IWUF Continental Federation and Member Country also organises their own wushu championships and events.
The Oceania Wushu Federation generally holds three key events. One is the Oceania Wushu Championships, open to all Active OWuF Members; another is the Oceania Invitational Wushu Championships, also open to invited countries outside the region, and the other is the Australasian Wushu Championships, open to New Zealand and Australia.
