The Kung Fu Wushu Association of Papua New Guinea has nominated Andrew Molen to represent the country at the 15th World Wushu Championships in Shanghai China in October.
Prior to the event, Molen will participate in a two week intensive training programme in Shanghai, thanks to the Chinese Wushu Association.
“Iam training alone and will be getting assistance from some senior fighters like Lee Garap (muay thai), Nigel Bana (karate) and Mark Sondo (kickboxing) who have been kind enough to offer their support.” Molen said.
“I have also learned a lot from Australian and Chinese coaches Robert Williams and Su Yongwei, who took me through some basics eary this year.”
